"Many thanks for
your demonstration this morning.
I must confess that I hadn't used PP [PlantPARTNER] before. But after your
talk, I have
spent half an hour or so finding my way around it and have succesfully
updated my mixes and specs in KeyScape using it.
Easy to use and has a nice clean feel about it. I'll be using it
a lot more."

Landscape Architect:
I have been asked by one of our clients for a 'quick favour' regarding one
of their projects, e.g. we are not getting paid for our time! ...looking
for advice on planting that would be suitable for a schools ground and are
looking for general guidance about what plants would be suitable and which
not suitable. I was wondering if I could do a search some how on the 'health
and safety' tab to generate a list for them.
PlantPARTNER:
On PlantPARTNER the H&S search option will enable you to generate
a non-poisonous, non-spiky or thorny list of plants which should go a
long way to providing you with what you want. However, to assist, the
two lists below have been created with associated notes and inserted into
your Palette menu:
Plants for Schools - excl. Herbaceous - PP - 2010-09-10 completed
Plants for Schools - Herbaceous - PP - 2010-09-10 completed
Landscape Architect:
Thank you very much, the lists are really useful and I have exported them
and sent them to our client. I will let the rest of the Landscape Team
know about their existence and I am sure that we will be able to make
use of them on subsequent projects.

"I
think you are aware that we have had some difficulties with our computer
system recently and this has caused no end of problems with file retrieval
and continuity with ongoing projects.
Throughout this trying time it has been of inestimable help to be
able to continue to work on projects using PlantPARTNER as our information
is stored on the Web not on our pc. This is obviously very valuable as
it enables easy access from other computers in other venues. I found it
particularly useful to be able to use the photograph section to show to
a client whilst in Greece this summer. A very efficient system which we
continue to find immensely useful."

"This
is just a quick note to say thanks for running the training event for us
earlier today.
Although the majority of those present are on the architectural rather
than landscape side of the business, I think we all found it very useful
as your explanation of the system was very clear and the whole thing seems
to be set up in a very logical and user friendly way, which is helpful
to those of us that are not trained as Landscape Architects.
Hopefully, your explanation will encourage more of us to have a go
with the software and to have more confidence about making better informed
selections of appropriate plant material.
I think that we will all be able to make use of the illustrations
etc as these are an excellent way of giving clients a clear idea of what
the proposed planting on a project should look like."

"I've
worked as a contract draughtsman for many years, more recently working as
a Landscape Technical Officer alongside Landscape Architects on regeneration
projects. Coming from a building background, I'm lacking in basic plant
knowledge. I've found that PlantPARTNER is very user friendly and I can
create plant schedules that mean something to me. I'm learning what a plant
looks like rather than just seeing the latin name in a list. The process
is more real to me.
As a Technician the library of images is fantasic for creating consulation
material so others can see what is being specified, and how it will look
throughout the changing seasons. The fact that I can import schedule information
into other software packages saves me much needed time in the creation of
tender documents."

what I want.
Images & product availability indicators are also invaluable."

"The
landscape architects have found it to be a very useful tool in assisting
the planning and design of quality landscaping schemes.
As for myself I have been able to utilise PlantPARTNER in the redrafting
of some of our Supplemental Planning Guidance documents and to that end
PlantPARTNER must have one of the most complete set of images for the most
relevant array of plants used within the trade. This makes it particularly
useful when considering municipal and TPO replanting schemes.
As for its accessibility, it is surely the ultimate in hot-desking!" |

"PlantPARTNER
is proving indispensable in our work, particularly the images which are
an excellent way of involving Community Groups in their own projects. Where
else can you get 3500+ images (and very presentable too) together with additions
automatically provided on a regular basis AND which can be used freely within
presentations!
Moreover, for new colleagues recently starting out in the profession, PlantPARTNER
again helps to minimise thelearning curve in the preparation of appropriate
plant schedules.
As well as being able to use one subscription for the whole office accessing
the site all at the same time if needs be, it's not surprising then that
PlantPARTNER paid for itself just in the time saved within the first few
weeks of its use." |

have worked closely with PlantPARTNER from the earliest stages of its development.
Whether it is used standalone or in conjunction with our KeySCAPE and KeyPLANTING

Being web-based, it is: simple to use; accessible 24-7 from any location

requires no installation CD's for updates. As such, it is an essential resource
